Practice What You Preach: Autohouse Storage & Motorsport

Brisbane Car Storage Professionals, Motorsport Tragics - Our tagline 'vehicle storage for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts' isn't just an empty marketing ploy - we really do mean it. We differentiate ourselves from our Competitors in that we are genuine participants in boating, outdoor living and most predominately - cars & motorsport. It only made sense for us to found a storage business like this so we can share our passion with like-minded enthusiasts. With a steep family history in Motor-Racing dating back to the 1960's, our family Motorsport tradition now lives on through its second generation. The integration of this passion and Autohouse Storage was easy for us - we've been storing cars of all varieties for several decades, so we truly understand what to do (and what not to do) in the world of car storage.

New Year, New Cars, Same Badges

After a year of learning and consistent improvement in 2018, Autohouse Racing will look to grab the 2019 season by the horns, with the expansion to a two car, two championship campaign.

IROC Porsche Challenge

After parting ways with the 2018 Challenger late last year, Autohouse Racing has acquired a full IROC-spec Porsche 911 RSR for this years IROC Porsche Challenge. The series runs with the fast growing Australian-Motor-Racing-Series (AMRS), and will see a domestic calendar visiting Winton, Morgan Park, Tailem Bend, Sydney Motorsport Park and Wakefield Park. The season kicks off on March 8-10 at Winton Motor Raceway, in rural Victoria. IROC is an acronym for 'International Race of Champions', and whilst this series' Driver line ups may not exactly fit that tagline, the specification of the cars certainly does. In the 1970's there was a series held under the same title where Champions from all different forms of Motorsport were pooled together in the same race to see who was the ultimate 'International Champion'. It produced quite a spectacle of Motorsport, with NASCAR, Indy Car and Formula 1 Superstars going toe to toe in identical Porsche 911 machinery.

The modern day reincarnation again features cars so evenly matched in performance, and 2018 saw some excellent racing, with 4 different winners emerging from the 5 rounds held. 2019 is set to be bigger and better, with increased numbers on the grid expected throughout the season.

Autohouse Racing enjoyed success at the IROC Challenge round in Sydney last year, taking all 4 race victories.

Queensland Prodsports Championship

2019 sees new venture into the competitive Queensland Prodsports Series. With the recent acquirement of an 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Cup Car (ex-Tekno/Jonathan Webb), it will be a year of learning to adjust to the sheer level of performance this car is capable of. Competing against other similar ex-Carrera Cup Cars, as well as a smattering of older GT3 and GT4 machinery, the series will hold rounds at Lakeside, Morgan Park and Queensland Raceway.
